Week 1 Review

Today is the last day of orientation week for Mythology and Folklore.  I feel like I have a pretty good understanding for what I will be doing in this class, and what is expected from me.

My favorite image from this week's class announcements is the one below.  It was posted on Friday, January 22. I did not chose this one for the quote, I chose it for the art.

Announcements:  Next week, Friday in Devon 420 from 4:30-5:30 is the first meeting of OU game developers association.  Well, first meeting for the semester.  Anybody interested in developing games is welcome, you don't have to be a programmer.  That includes game writing, for example if you want to work on writing a story or dialogue for a game.

  1. Thank you for that announcement, Carmen — the game development group sounds fabulous! I will be sure to include that in the announcements. And I am glad you liked that illustration. I use a lot of Andrew Lang materials in the UnTextbook, and that illustration is by H. J. Ford who did the illustrations to many of Lang's books, so you might be seeing more of his art as the semester goes along! Here is some more of his art at Wikipedia: H. J. Ford.

  2. Hey Carmen!

I'm definitely interested in game writing, although I'm going camping this weekend and won't be able to make it to the meeting, are these meetings fairly regular?

    1. Yes, they are usually once a week, but occasionally meeting will get canceled. If you give me your email I will see to it that you get added to the mailing list.
