My favorite author died less than a year ago on March 12, 2015. This name was Terry Pratchett. He is an absolutely brilliant writer, and his novels are full of great quotes. These include funny quotes, puns, and very though provoking statements. The HTML sidebar I created includes some great quotes from Terry Pratchett, keeping his words alive.

Carmen, it made me so happy to see Terry Pratchett at the top of the blog stream when I checked in this morning! He is one of my favorite writers too; it is so sad to think that he is gone. My favorite books were the ones about Death, so now that character has taken on even more meaning than before.
ReplyDeleteHere is how I discovered Terry Pratchett's marvelous books: when Douglas Adams died in 2001, I was devastated, and I typed into Google: "Without Douglas Adams, who will I read now?" ... and that was how I learned about Terry Pratchett; I had not heard of him before. I mostly listened to his books as audiobooks at Audible.com; there were some really marvelous readers who lent their voices to his books. If you have never done that and would like to try an Audible.com book, let me know. I have listened to Audible.com books since the company first started, and I usually have coupons that I can give away for a free book. They have all of his books there!
